Sometime ago I was shaking a new bottle of Cafe au Lait Coloured Herbin Fountain pen ink at the same desk as my newly cut Aida cross stitch fabric was resting. Disaster!! Needless to say the cap was loose and the ink went everywhere. I had some remarkable facial and hand spots for a little while!! I washed the Aida with no hope of removal of the ink but I didn’t throw it away. I christened it and so I may as well put a name to it..the hoop will be its frame and it will hang on the wall above my coffee machine! The pattern was from Etsy but I changed the lay out to suit.
This site is to show off my hobby of creative hand sewing. It has been a love of mine since I was 10 years old. Now, not only is it a very meditative past time, but it also exercises my eye & hand co-ordination after a battle with a huge brain tumour that didn't take my life but it took from me a lot of skills I took for granted. NOTHING ON THIS SITE IS FOR SALE. Items I make are for me, my family, my friends and occasionally, charity. Enjoy!
