This site is to show off my hobby of creative hand sewing. It has been a love of mine since I was 10 years old. Now, not only is it a very meditative past time, but it also exercises my eye & hand co-ordination after a battle with a huge brain tumour that didn't take my life but it took from me a lot of skills I took for granted. NOTHING ON THIS SITE IS FOR SALE. Items I make are for me, my family, my friends and occasionally, charity. Enjoy!
The Golden Buddha, Bangkok full name: Wat Trai Mit Wittayaram Worawihan Samphanthawing, Krungthep.It’s one of my favourite places in Bangkok. It’s 35cm x 37cm on lovely lemon tinted 14ct Aida. I used DMC Gold mettalic thread instead of DMC680 where required. Pattern via Etsy.

Henri Matisse ‘Yellow Cat, Red Fish ‘ 120 gorgeous DMC colours, 120,000 stitches, size: 42cm x 59.4cms (16.5 in x 23.4 in) on 14 ct impeccably woven Sullivans Aida with at times, over 40 colour changes per 10x10 square. Commenced 1 June 2022, Completed 10 Dec 2024.
On 100% raw calico using Ministry of Yarn recycled spun silk Sari Yarn.
